why join the american legion

Becoming a member of American Legion Norco Post 328 means more than joining an organization — it’s joining a family with a shared mission of service, honor, and community. As a member, you’ll connect with fellow veterans who understand your experiences, participate in local programs that make a difference, and help strengthen the Norco community through outreach, events, and veteran support services. Membership gives you the opportunity to continue serving your country — right here at home.

The American Legion community is made up of several groups that work together to serve veterans, families, and our community. Here’s how to know which one is right for you:

If you’re a U.S. military veteran or currently serving, you can join as a Legionnaire. Members share a bond of service and continue their mission by supporting fellow veterans and their community.

If your parent, grandparent, or guardian is a veteran, you can join the Sons of the American Legion. This group honors family military service through volunteer work and community projects.

If you’re the spouse, parent, sibling, or relative of a veteran, you can join the Auxiliary. Members support veterans, military families, and community initiatives alongside the Legion.

American Legion Auxiliary

If you’re already part of the Legion, Auxiliary, or Sons — and you love motorcycles — you can join the Riders. They support veterans and raise awareness through rides, events, and fundraisers.
